Significant story spoilers for the upcoming James Bond game 007: First Light have reportedly surfaced online, stemming from a leak traced back to the Indonesian ratings board.
According to VGC, over an hour of footage—privately submitted to the ratings board by developer IO Interactive—has been discovered on the Indonesian Game Rating System (IGRS) website and subsequently shared further. This includes clips that reveal key details about the game's ending.
Until now, much of 007: First Light's plot has been tightly guarded, with IO Interactive aiming to preserve its surprises for the game's release on May 27, which is still six weeks away. When contacted by IGN, IO Interactive declined to provide additional comments on the situation.
007: First Light is the highly anticipated next project from IO Interactive, the studio behind Hitman. It boasts an impressive cast and ambitious plans to launch a new blockbuster James Bond video game trilogy. The game features a brand-new origin story for the MI6 agent, introducing a younger version of Bond portrayed by Patrick Gibson from Dexter: Original Sin. The cast also includes Gemma Chan from The Eternals, Lennie James from The Walking Dead, and Lenny Kravitz from The Hunger Games, playing various allies and villains.
Last week, IO Interactive announced a delay for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game, now scheduled for release "later this summer." Originally set for March, the game had already been postponed late last year.
Additional leaked information from the Indonesian Game Rating System reportedly includes spoilers for Bandai Namco's role-playing game Echoes of Aincrad and mentions of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced. Ubisoft has confirmed the latter, though it has not been formally unveiled. Online listings still show the game with a 2026 launch date for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.
