EA Sports' popular fighting game franchise is making a comeback this summer with UFC 6. EA has confirmed that UFC 6 will launch on June 19, 2026, but players can get 7 days of early access and additional perks through the UFC 6 Ultimate Edition, priced at $99.99. EA also revealed the cover athletes: Alex Pereira will appear on the standard edition covers, while Max Holloway features on the Ultimate Edition cover art.

"Representing Brazil on the cover of UFC 6 means everything to me. This is for the fans who believed in me from the very beginning," said Pereira. "EA Sports made my fighter look as powerful as the real thing and nailed my left hook. The fans will get the true Poatan. Chama."

UFC 6 is being marketed as the "most realistic and authentic fighting experience" yet, thanks to new gameplay and technology advancements. EA noted that UFC 6 introduces new ragdoll physics, and fighters will look, move, and fight like their real-life counterparts, giving them a sense of individuality.

UFC 6 will once again carry an M-rating, ensuring unbridled violence. UFC 5 was the first in the series to leverage the M-rating after EA overhauled the damage system, pushing the content beyond a T-rating.

New content includes single-player modes like Hall of Legends and The Legacy, allowing players to experience the stories of legendary UFC fighters firsthand or build their own path from unknown to iconic fighter.

EA Sports has long been a major player in gaming with franchises like Madden, FC (formerly FIFA), and NBA games, as well as its combat sports titles. EA started with boxing via the Fight Night series, which was thrilling and successful. However, UFC eventually became a cultural phenomenon. THQ originally held the UFC game rights, but after THQ's collapse, EA stepped in to create its own UFC games.

The series initially released every two years but now appears on a three-year cycle. IGN gave UFC 5 a 9, highlighting the franchise's high quality. It remains to be seen if UFC 6 will maintain that standard.
