Mouse: P.I. For Hire, the stylish first-person shooter inspired by 1930s cartoons, has exceeded 730,000 sales since its launch in April. Publisher PlaySide confirmed the milestone during its financial presentation to investors, noting that publishing and marketing costs have been fully recouped. This means ongoing strong sales will now contribute directly to PlaySide's FY26 revenue, which is projected to be between $36 million and $38 million, up from $34.7 million. "The upgrade primarily reflects stronger-than-expected unit sales and ongoing wishlist conversion of Mouse: P.I. For Hire across PC and console platforms, achieved despite the delayed launch and absence of major external project wins," the publisher stated. Interestingly, PlaySide also revealed that console units now account for 50% of total sales, as the title maintains strong visibility on console storefronts. Developed by Fumi Games, the game follows private investigator Jack Pepper on a guns-blazing, jazz-fueled adventure, blending the charm of hand-drawn rubber hose animation from 1930s cartoons with explosive first-person shooter action. It currently holds a 'Very Positive' rating on Steam.
