Konami's revival of the long-dormant Silent Hill series continues to gain momentum, with Silent Hill 2 Remake surpassing 6 million players and Silent Hill f exceeding 2 million sales. While Konami draws a distinction between 'players' and 'sales,' the numbers nonetheless bolster the horror franchise's future, especially with the upcoming Silent Hill: Townfall and Bloober Team's Silent Hill 1 Remake on the horizon. To celebrate, Konami is offering a 40% discount on the Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill f Dual Pack, which bundles both games for $71.99. Silent Hill f shifts the setting from the titular town to 1960s Japan, following teenager Hinako Shimizu as she navigates societal and familial pressures. Our review gave it a 7/10, noting: 'Silent Hill f presents a fresh new setting and a fascinatingly dark story, but its melee-focused combat takes a big swing that doesn’t quite land.' IGN's Silent Hill 2 Remake review scored an 8/10, calling it 'a great way to visit — or revisit — one of the most dread-inducing destinations in survival horror history.' Series producer Motoi Okamoto previously explained why Konami revealed three new Silent Hill games at once after a decade of silence, stating the publisher wanted to show old and new fans that it was 'serious' about reviving the struggling series. Additionally, two actors from Silent Hill f have been appointed ambassadors of the real-life Japanese location that inspired the game's eerie setting.
