Pearl Abyss has dropped another major patch for Crimson Desert—the second this week alone—bringing significant changes to the game. Update 1.07.00 is packed with content, including new boss rematches and various bug fixes (full patch notes via the Crimson Desert website below). But the standout feature is the addition of the Blinding Flash Finisher for Kliff's unarmed combat.

For those unfamiliar, Blinding Flash Finisher is a powerful combat skill that deals massive damage to stunned enemies while time slows down. Even better, if you hold the button until Kliff finishes his slow-motion combo, he delivers a finishing blow that sends a shockwave in all directions. This is perfect for clearing groups of weaker enemies or dealing heavy damage to tougher foes. Adding it to unarmed combat means players who prefer fisticuffs now have one of the game's strongest abilities at their disposal. If you're playing Kliff like a fantasy Batman, your moveset is now complete.

Also noteworthy: the patch fixes an issue where Damiane's Elegant Carmine Leather Armor appeared abnormally. Earlier this week, before-and-after images of Damiane, the female playable character, went viral on social media, showing the armor seemingly altered to cover previously exposed skin. This sparked community backlash and even mild Steam review-bombing, with some accusing Pearl Abyss of censorship. However, the developer stated the armor was "unintentionally altered" while fixing a clipping issue, and now the bug is resolved.

Elsewhere, the update adds new wolf and bear types that can be registered as mounts. Both Damiane and Oongka (the third playable character) now have access to the Aerial Stab ability, as Pearl Abyss continues to make non-Kliff characters more viable.

Fans didn't expect another major Crimson Desert patch so soon, but the developer is following a more MMO-like update schedule—inspired by its actual MMO, Black Desert—to maintain momentum in this single-player open-world action adventure. Players are certainly enjoying the rapid improvements.

This week, Pearl Abyss revealed Crimson Desert's success, selling 5 million copies since its March 19 launch and generating KRW 266.5 billion (approx. $178.8 million) in March alone. The company expects it to make over half a billion dollars by the end of 2026. As for DLC, players have explored out-of-bounds areas and discovered unused content, including a named region to the east called Sunbaked Peaks that is currently inaccessible. A story expansion could potentially open that area up.

Added more bosses that can be challenged again in rematches.
