According to estimates, 007 First Light has sold 2.2 million copies and generated $150 million in revenue. Rhys Elliott, head of market analysis at Alinea Analytics, tweeted that the company's data shows most early sales were on PS5, with 55.1% on PS5, 33.1% on Steam, and 11.8% on Xbox (including Xbox console, Windows, and cloud). The only official sales data comes from developer IO Interactive, which stated that 007 First Light became the fastest-selling game in the company's history, selling 1.5 million copies in its first 24 hours—faster than any Hitman game. This milestone was achieved without the Nintendo Switch 2 version, which is due this summer. The James Bond adventure is also the highest-rated IOI game ever, with an 87 on Metacritic. IGN's 007 First Light review gave it a 9/10, calling it "the best Bond game I’ve ever played." Despite a strong start, the game may still need to break even. According to a report by the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, 007 First Light had a budget of 1.3 billion Danish krone (over $202 million), making it the most expensive entertainment product in Denmark's history. IO had no comment on the budget when contacted by IGN. Adding complexity, Amazon Game Studios has a stake in the game, despite Amazon buying the James Bond IP after the First Light deal. Amazon Games Studios suggested it will publish all future James Bond games, while IOI self-published 007 First Light. IOI hopes for enough success to continue with a sequel, aiming for a trilogy. IGN's 007 First Light review also noted the game's obsession with bringing the Bond fantasy to life. Our 007 First Light Guide includes essential tips, stealth mastery, achievement unlocks, collectible locations, a walkthrough, and safe combinations.
