Publisher Sega and developer Creative Assembly have released what appears to be a teaser for Alien: Isolation 2. A mysterious video titled "A False Sense of Security" was uploaded to the franchise's official YouTube channel today, April 26—coinciding with Alien Day. The atmospheric teaser shows a rainy outdoor location and a familiar emergency phone save station, but stops short of explicitly confirming a sequel. Given that Creative Assembly announced a follow-up was in early development back in late 2024, fans are anticipating an imminent reveal. The only text in the video description reads: "A feeling of being safer than one really is." The original Alien: Isolation launched in October 2014 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, and has since become a beloved horror classic, largely due to its tense atmosphere and intelligent Xenomorph. Despite a strong fan base, Sega and Creative Assembly waited until the game's 10th anniversary in 2024 to officially confirm a sequel. At that time, Creative Assembly stated: "Today, I'm delighted to confirm, on behalf of the team, that a sequel to Alien: Isolation is in early development. We look forward to sharing more details with you when we're ready." Platforms and a release date for Alien: Isolation 2 have not yet been announced.
