Infinity Ward, the developer behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, has announced an extension for the game's open beta. Players can now enjoy the beta until 10 PM PT tonight (1 AM ET tomorrow morning). The studio took to X to share the news, saying, "A little more time on the clock. We see you grinding out those Beta Rewards and camos, so we're giving you some extra time. The #MW4 Open Beta is extended until 10 PM PT tonight. 2XP + Double Weapon XP stay active until close. Enjoy!"
This isn't the first update to the beta; Infinity Ward has already made adjustments, including addressing TTK (time-to-kill) criticisms and tweaking weapons. Additional changes were pushed out to beta testers last week as well.
This year's beta has been notably unusual, with a fan-favorite character's haircut sparking controversy, and for the first time ever, a single-player mission was included in the beta.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for release on October 23, with early campaign access on October 16 for those who pre-order. It will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, but notably, it won't be part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on day one this year.
