Charlie Cox, best known for playing Daredevil, is embarking on another video game venture following his acclaimed performance as Gustave in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. In a recent interview with the YouTube channel Agents of Fandom, Cox revealed that his first gaming role has sparked a new professional direction, leading him to commit to a more hands-on project this year.

For Expedition 33, Cox solely provided voice work for Gustave, with motion capture handled by actor Maxence Cazorla, resulting in limited recording time. However, he hinted that his upcoming game will involve full performance capture, indicating a deeper level of involvement. "I was amazed by Expedition 33's success and its global reach," Cox shared. "It's opened up a fresh path for my career. This year, I'm tackling another game that will demand much more from me in terms of work and engagement."

He also expressed surprise at the gaming community's fervor, noting, "I didn't fully grasp how passionate these fans are—they rival Marvel enthusiasts. A big thanks to Maxence Cazorla for his mo-cap work on my character."

The big mystery remains: what is Cox's new video game role? It's unlikely to be a Marvel-themed appearance, given his long history as Daredevil across series like the original show, Defenders, and cameos in She-Hulk, Echo, and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Could it be a collaboration with Sandfall Interactive, the developer behind Expedition 33? While possible, the studio's next project might not be ready for recording so soon.

As fans speculate, they can also anticipate the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, which debuts its first episode on Disney+ next week.
