The highly anticipated open-world action-adventure game Crimson Desert is set to launch on March 19, and a new behind-the-scenes look from IGN Fan Fest 2026 is stoking the excitement even further by spotlighting the official voice actors.
In the feature, Rebecca Hanssen voices the fighter Damiane, Stewart Scudamore brings to life the axe-wielding orc Oongka, and Alec Newman portrays the main protagonist Greymane Kliff Macduff. All three share their experiences working on the project and the process of embodying their unique characters.
"Oongka is a nomadic warrior," Scudamore explains in the clip. "He's deeply passionate about fighting for his cause, his people, his tribe, and the Greymanes. My initial challenge was finding a way to connect with him—what's his essence? His character felt very economical in design."
Scudamore adds, "What surprised me about Oongka was his philosophical nature. He has this world-wise, nomadic quality. The real challenge was that he often communicates through grunts, and figuring out the nuances and levels of those grunts was quite demanding."
Crimson Desert will be available on March 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), and the Mac App Store.
