Take-Two Interactive has officially reaffirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch on November 19, 2026, putting an end to speculation about a potential delay. In an interview with IGN ahead of Take-Two's fiscal year 2026 financial results, CEO Strauss Zelnick stated that the game is on schedule. "I've been saying for some time that the release date is November 19," he said. "We obviously reiterated that today, so we feel really good about it."

During its financial report for the 2026 fiscal year, Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar Games, projected a "breakout year" driven by what it called "the most anticipated entertainment property of all time." The company confirmed that Rockstar will kick off the GTA 6 marketing campaign this summer, with pre-orders expected to go live simultaneously as fans await the release of Trailer 3.

When asked whether GTA 6 could succeed without releasing a third trailer or showcasing gameplay before launch, Zelnick offered an intriguing response. Take-Two expects to generate between $8 billion and $8.2 billion in revenue during the 2027 fiscal year, a 20% increase from the prior year, primarily due to GTA 6's launch. With revenue of $6.72 billion in fiscal 2026, the game's impact could be as high as $1.5 billion.

Earlier this month, Business Insider reported that Take-Two has spent an estimated $1 billion to $1.5 billion on GTA 6 so far. The game is expected to become the biggest entertainment launch in history, breaking records for video game sales and revenue. Rockstar has yet to announce the price of GTA 6, leaving the industry eagerly waiting to see if it will exceed the standard $70.

GTA 6 is scheduled to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S on November 19, 2026.
