Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is receiving its first new content in years, and it's completely free. Insomniac Games has announced that players will get free access to the Brand New Day suit starting July 28th. The suit appears to be a redesigned version of the one from No Way Home, which combined elements from the suits worn by Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland. During the film's development, Tom Holland noted that he sought fan feedback online to make Brand New Day as good as possible, leading to revisions that are now reflected in the game. A new trailer for Brand New Day was released alongside ticket pre-sales, promising another thrilling adventure for the web-slinger. Many questions about the film remain unanswered, including Sadie Sink's role—the leading theory is that she plays Jean Grey. As for Insomniac's Spider-Man, the character has been absent since 2023 and will not appear in Marvel's Wolverine later this year. However, the studio is likely working on another Spider-Man game, which may not release for another year or two, possibly as a PS6 launch title like Miles Morales. It's unclear if Insomniac has further plans to update Marvel's Spider-Man 2, which notably had no DLC unlike its predecessor. The release of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse next summer could bring more suits, but only time will tell.
