Activision and Infinity Ward have officially revealed the beta schedule for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 across PC, Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. In a blog post on their website, the developers detailed the playtest plans. Early access for players who pre-ordered on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S runs from August 21 to 25, with Nintendo Switch 2 joining during the open beta from August 28 to September 1. The beta kicks off right after the Call of Duty Next presentation on August 21, which promises live gameplay, an in-depth look at Modern Warfare 4's multiplayer content, developer insights, and new reveals. While specific weapons, Operators, maps, and modes for the beta are still under wraps, Activision and Infinity Ward gave a sneak peek: 19 weapons, 3v3 skirmishes, tanks, Kill Block mode, and more. Players can build loadouts using the new Gunny system. Pre-order purchasers of the Vault Edition can use Operators Price, Valeria, Ghost, and Blix during the beta. Nintendo Switch 2 users can pre-order starting August 26, marking Call of Duty's return to Nintendo platforms after years. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23, 2026, for PC, Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
