Developer Pearl Abyss has released another major patch for Crimson Desert, introducing new features aimed at endgame players who have cleared the world of combat. As reported by IGN, some players complained that Pywel had become too peaceful because enemies don't respawn and cleared camps remain empty. The patch adds the boss Rematch and Re-blockade features. Pearl Abyss stated, "We understand that as more regions were liberated, opportunities for combat became less frequent. To keep the challenge alive, we've added these features." The Rematch feature has two modes: Reminisce (fights the boss as initially encountered) and Resonate (scales boss stats to player progression). Re-blockade offers three frequency modes, from off to constant warfare. During Re-blockade, 13 factions re-blockade 23 forts and quarries. Early community reaction is positive. Pearl Abyss plans to increase participating factions and strongholds, adjust enemy difficulty, and improve the Liberation and Re-blockade system. The patch also adds legendary creatures as pets and fixes issues with legendary mount summoning and comrade trust reset. Crimson Desert continues to receive frequent updates since its March launch.
