During the Summer Game Fest showcase, developer Pocket Pair announced that Palworld 1.0 will launch on July 10 this year. You might be thinking, hasn't Palworld been out for a couple of years? Well, yes, but it's been in early access since its initial release on PC and Xbox Series X|S in January 2024, followed by a PS5 launch in September 2024.
Details on the new content coming with the full release are scarce, but you can check out the Palworld 1.0 cinematic trailer in the meantime. Earlier this year, Pocket Pair mentioned that they wouldn't rule out a Palworld 2.0 down the line, but they're not committing to a decade-long update plan.
Even if you don't play Palworld, you've likely heard about it when it caught the attention of Nintendo and The Pokemon Company, leading to a legal dispute over similar gameplay mechanics. Regardless, the game has been wildly popular and earned an 8/10 in our early access review.
