Publisher Activision and developer Infinity Ward have promised to update Captain Price's hair in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 after images of his botched haircut went viral.
As last weekend's closed beta dredged up conversations revolving around its time-to-kill (TTK) speeds and problematic spawn placements, other fans aimed at Captain Price and his barber. It's mostly thanks to a few images that have circulated across social media, with fans pointing out that, maybe, Modern Warfare 4's version of the classic character should invest in some hair gel.
He looks…unwell, at least when compared to past versions of Captain Price. Whether he's chasing down Vladimir Makarov or walking you through a training course, Price is known to have a full head of hair and a beard that could make even Ghost blush. The one from Modern Warfare 4, however, has neither of those things, and according to many, he hardly looks like the Task Force 141 leader fans have come to know. Activision and Infinity Ward say that's not their intention, but there's also a good reason why only some Call of Duty fans are encountering this choppy imposter.

that ain't captain Price that's lieutenant Cost https://t.co/gtAFT18NhF
That ain’t price that’s amount
While the Captain Price making the rounds online does appear to be real, he'll only look this way in Modern Warfare 4 if users tune their devices to the lowest possible settings. Some had expected this to be the case, as reports of the botched haircut seemed to mostly be few and far between.
Still, the developers and Activision and Infinity Ward are going to do their best to give the Call of Duty fan-favorite Operator the head of hair he deserves. The studio community teams X/Twitter account replied to a few of the more popular posts, promising it would be addressed "in a future update."
"Captain Price's hair does not appear correctly when viewing his character model at the lowest level of detail," a tab in the "Known Issues" column from the Modern Warfare 4 Trello says.
Hello! We're aware of an issue with Price's hair not appearing correctly when viewed at the lowest level of detail. The team will be addressing it in a future update.Ultimately this will not be an issue if players meet our recommended specs.Details: https://t.co/uozRRLS3W5

What exactly that update entails remains to be seen, but it's far from the only thing on the team's list. Also noted in the Known Issues category are dropped framerates when cooking lethal weapons, hitches for PC players during their first multiplayer matches, a stuck loadout screen bug, and more. TTK is another issue the team is looking into, as are those spawns.
