Images purportedly showing leaked Persona 6 characters and logos have been removed from the internet following copyright claims, with Sega believed to be behind the takedowns. The enforcement comes ahead of this weekend's Summer Game Fest livestream and Xbox Games Showcase, leading fans to expect an official announcement within days.

Last week, grainy images surfaced on social media depicting a blond-haired boy in a school uniform and a girl with black and red hair. Top Persona fan site Persona Central suggested the images originated from an outsourced animation team, and several noted Persona leakers later verified the artwork as legitimate.

This week, additional leaks revealed a clearer look at the game's logo—a green "P6" inside a circle. Various instances of the concept art and logo have since been replaced on social media with copyright takedown notices, though many examples remain online.

"Got a DMCA takedown request by Sega," wrote X/Twitter user Dkmariolink, one of those affected. "Not posting it again, but if you know, you know." IGN has reached out to Sega for comment.

It's been nearly a decade since the launch of Persona 5 in 2016, though the series has seen numerous spin-offs and re-releases, with a notable push on Xbox since 2022, including a day-one Game Pass release for Persona 4 Revival last year.

Just yesterday, Xbox announced that Persona 5 Royal will arrive on Xbox Game Pass next week, on June 9. Could we hear more at Xbox's showcase? Tune in this Sunday, June 7, at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern / 6pm UK via IGN for all the big reveals.
