While Skyrim has offered countless methods for battling dragons over the years, have you ever considered challenging them to a war of words instead of weapons? A wildly creative new mod finally makes this possible, letting players engage dragons in heated discussions about Tamriel's political landscape and internet memes.
Skyrim's legendary modding community has produced some truly bizarre creations throughout the game's history, but modder BlurbsTV recently raised the bar by implementing six absurd concepts simultaneously. As reported by GamesRadar+, BlurbsTV turned to his Twitch audience for unhinged mod ideas and brought them to life in spectacular fashion.
The resulting chaos includes dragon shouts that scatter chickens everywhere, a self-replicating Nazeem, randomly appearing Khajiit that send players flying, and most notably, the ability to debate dragons about Tamriel's geopolitics. In this unique system, dragon encounters replace traditional combat with formal debates where a text-to-speech bot poses questions and the Dragonborn has 20 seconds to respond before the dragon offers a rebuttal.
Twitch chat members serve as judges deciding debate winners, which predictably leads to chaotic results. In one memorable clip, BlurbsTV actually won a debate about banning the internet due to Stormcloak propaganda, only to immediately trip over a randomly spawned Khajiit and tumble off a cliff.
While these mods aren't currently available on Nexus Mods or the Steam Workshop for public download, BlurbsTV's hilarious video demonstrates that even 15 years and numerous releases later, Skyrim's modding scene continues to deliver wonderfully strange experiences that keep the game feeling fresh and unpredictable.
