Nintendo Switch Online has just expanded its classic games library with three new additions, headlined by the iconic arcade game Pac-Man. Subscribers can now access these retro titles through the Nintendo Classics NES app, featuring Pac-Man, Mendel Palace, and The Tower of Druaga.
Pac-Man remains a timeless favorite, offering the same pellet-chomping, ghost-dodging action that made it an arcade legend. Players can still gobble Power Pellets to turn the tables on their spectral pursuers and chase down bonus fruit for extra points.
Mendel Palace, originally released in 1989, is a puzzle game from Game Freak—the same studio that would later create the Pokémon series. This earlier title challenges players to flip panels strategically to defeat enemies and trigger special effects in a simpler yet engaging format.
The Tower of Druaga, a Namco action RPG from 1984, rounds out the trio. Often dubbed a "fantasy Pac-Man," it features knights, wizards, and maze-like dungeons where players must navigate to reach the tower's summit.
For those interested in exploring further, IGN maintains a comprehensive list of all classic games available through Nintendo Switch Online, spanning platforms from Game Boy to GameCube.
