CD Projekt has announced an official anniversary stream for The Witcher 3's beloved expansion, Blood and Wine, fueling rumors that the studio might tease additional DLC for the game. The stream is scheduled for May 28 at 5pm CEST / 8am PT / 1pm ET / 4pm UK time, with CD Projekt promising to "return once more to the land of knights, vineyards, and vampires!" in a tweet.
While there's no indication that the stream will include any announcements, fans are already buzzing about the possibility of confirming long-rumored The Witcher 3 DLC. A recent report hinted at a 'Dune-style' location for a new, unannounced adventure that could arrive later this year, despite the game being over a decade old.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Blood and Wine launched on May 30, 2016, and was praised for expanding the game's world while providing closure for characters like Geralt. IGN's review gave it a 9/10, calling it "a fitting sendoff."
Fan reactions to the stream news have been mixed, with one saying, "Am I getting baited again?" and another warning, "If the third DLC isn't announced I will freak out."
CD Projekt is also busy with The Witcher 4, which is not expected until at least 2027, and a six-year roadmap including The Witcher 5 and 6. Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2 is further behind, with co-CEO Michał Nowakowski suggesting it won't launch until at least 2030. However, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will be featured at Anime Expo in Los Angeles on July 3 at 7.30pm PT.
