A YouTuber has announced he's willing to hand over ownership of a website address that Capcom secretly embedded in Resident Evil Requiem, provided the publisher reaches out to him. The URL, NEWDAWN-capcom.com, gained attention on social media this week after players spotted it on a computer screen within the game. Currently, the site displays contact details for Gabe Follower, a YouTuber known for his Valve content.

In an interview with IGN, Gabe Follower explained that he came across discussions about the domain online and was shocked to find Capcom hadn't registered it yet. He decided to claim it himself for a mere $15. "I'm a big fan of the Resident Evil series and was browsing news after finishing Requiem," he told IGN. "I noticed people talking about this domain and checked it out. It surprised me that no one had grabbed it, so I bought it on a whim."

Gabe Follower mentioned he considered other creative uses for the domain, such as crafting an elaborate fake alternate reality game to amuse fans before revealing it wasn't official. "I was too lazy to go through with that," he confessed, adding that he also thought about redirecting visitors to the classic Rickroll video but opted against it.
