Spider-Man: Brand New Day is taking over Fortnite as part of a brand new crossover.
Epic Games has revealed a Spider-Man: Brand New Day crossover with Fortnite, which will also bring back the beloved web shooters. For those who have never used them, players can find Spidey's web shooters as an equippable item and use them to swing around the map. It's actually a really great way to flank enemy players, as they can fling you pretty fast, making it hard for players to keep track of you.
Additionally, Fortnite's Item Shop will be adding Spidey's Brand New Day suit (complete with a removable mask so you can see Tom Holland's face), a Hulk skin, and a skin of Jon Bernthal's Punisher. Will there be a skin for Sadie Sink's character, heavily theorized to be Jean Grey, later down the line? Who's to say!

It's also currently unclear if Epic will be adding in skins from previous Spider-Man tie-ins, such as the No Way Home suits or Zendaya's MJ skin. Either way, these should all be available in-game very soon. Epic didn't provide an exact time or date for these arrivals, but the Item Shop tends to refresh at 8 PM ET.
The announcement also came paired with an extended sneek peak at Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The clip features Spider-Man chasing after an armored tank while the Punisher trails behind, likely with his own motives. It's mostly footage we've already seen in the trailers, but it's a great way to get a taste of the action and Spidey's web-swinging in the film.
These Fortnite skins come alongside new skins for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, which are available now. Spider-Man: Brand New Day finally hits theaters this Friday, and some of the folks at IGN have already seen it. We gave it a 7/10 in our review, noting that the film retreads some ideas from previous adaptations of the webhead, but largely sticks the landing.
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day sees Destin Daniel Cretton effectively refocus on the sturdiest pillars of the webslinger's iconography: struggling to find balance while swinging around New York City saving the day, and looking dang cool doing it," reads an excerpt from Tom Jorgenson's review. "There’s more than a little déjà vu going on with a lot of Peter’s inner turmoil, and that does sometimes leave the 'brand new day' of the title feeling like Groundhog Day, but overall, it’s a refreshingly small-scale ride that gives Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, and the rest of the cast (a wasted Tramell Tillman aside) at least a few moments each to shine."
