PlayStation 5 blockbuster Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has been updated today with two new Spider-Man suits, including Tom Holland's latest costume from Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
To celebrate the new Spider-Man film releasing this week, the web-slinging PS5 sequel has been patched to version 1.005.000. This update adds two new Spidey designs, support for Enhanced PSSR on PlayStation 5 Pro, and a Power Saver mode.
Sony first announced the PS5 Power Saver mode for select games last year. When manually enabled, supported PS5 titles will scale back performance, allowing the console to reduce power consumption—a neat way to save on energy bills and slightly lower your home's environmental impact.
The Brand New Day suit is now available in-game, labeled as the "Fresh Start" suit. Also included is the Spider-Man costume from Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 developer Insomniac Games has regularly kept its most recent Spidey game updated with new suits, so these additions aren't a huge surprise—even if their arrival via a free update is very welcome. Next up from the studio is Marvel's Wolverine, due exclusively for PS5 on September 15.
And, of course, only hours remain until the launch of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Officially releasing in theaters on July 31, previews begin tomorrow. Early reactions from the press are already on social media—all very positive—and the movie is now projected to be the biggest box office launch of the year so far. Keep an eye out for IGN's official review soon.
