Playground Games design director Torben Ellert fielded a variety of questions about next month's Forza Horizon 6 during a community Q&A hosted on the official Forza Discord server. The discussion spanned topics from the new touge battles to multiplayer features.

Touge battles are one-on-one events set at five preset mountain passes across the map. In single-player mode, each has a specific opponent waiting near the route's start. These battles aren't tied to festival progression, allowing players to race them anytime in single player. An online championship will also provide a constant stream of one-on-one battles rotating through the five routes.

The Festival Playlist becomes available as soon as you enter the Horizon Festival (roughly an hour from the start), but cars from past playlists will be obtainable later. While the exact method wasn't detailed, it seems to differ from Forza Horizon 5's system—good news for PS5 players or anyone not starting in the first week after May's launch.

For context, Forza Horizon 5's Festival Playlist added free cars weekly since November 2021, but they were only available for a limited time, requiring players to complete events within a week or month. It took years for cars to reappear when themed months repeated in early 2025. Playground recently made all rare, time-limited cars purchasable in-game.

It was hinted that Festival Playlist cars might cycle into the aftermarket car system. Locations for aftermarket cars are fixed, but not all are active simultaneously, and more spawn points could be added later. The cars available to discover and purchase will vary per player. Unique Forza Edition cars remain very rare.

Additionally, Forzathon Live is now called Stunt Party. The level 1 starter car in Eliminator mode is the 1984 Honda City. Legend Island, locked until you reach the highest festival rank, features its own outpost, events, and the start of the 50-mile (80 km) Goliath race. Radio station details will be announced before launch.
