Rockstar Games has officially revealed the preload schedule, global release times, and install size for GTA 6. Digital preloading on PS5 begins at midnight local time in each timezone on Tuesday, November 10. For Xbox Series X and S, preloading starts at 12am GMT (UK time) on November 10, which is 4pm PT and 7pm ET on November 9. Code-in-box versions for both consoles are expected to be available from retailers starting November 12, according to Rockstar.
Rockstar has also confirmed that GTA 6 will launch globally on November 19, following the local midnight release strategy across PS5 and Xbox Series X and S. The preload file size is up to 212 GB, depending on your device, so players are advised to ensure they have ample storage space to begin preloading as soon as possible.
Additionally, on November 19, Rockstar will offer a free digital download of an official printable GTA 6 cover art poster and map of Leonida on its website. A double-sided physical version of the poster will be available shortly after launch from the Rockstar Store for $0.99, or as a free gift with any purchase from the Rockstar Store.
Stay tuned for more GTA 6 news as we approach its November 19 release, including an unexpected gameplay reveal in a recent South Park episode, how GTA 6 named a major mechanic after a beloved GTA 4 meme, and details on how the game's map will open up relatively early for free exploration.
