The upcoming re-releases of Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 for PS4 and PS5 later this month may be missing some modes and features, according to leaked trophy lists. The lists, which surfaced online and were highlighted by X user ForwardLeaks, are mostly similar to the original PS3 versions but show several notable omissions. Trophies related to Theater mode, League Play, and winning wager matches have been removed. Theater mode allowed players to watch replays and freely move the camera, a feature popular for content creation in YouTube's early days. Wager matches were playlists where players bet in-game currency on unique modes like Gun Game (where you get a new weapon with each kill) and One in the Chamber (where you have only one bullet and must kill others to get more). These modes were highly enjoyable and later appeared in other Call of Duty games without the gambling component. The absence of their trophies suggests they may not be included in the re-releases. Additionally, a trophy for Black Ops 2's League Play was removed, which is less surprising given the unlikely longevity of a competitive scene for these older titles. While it's possible the features remain with trophies only removed, the unchanged nature of most trophies makes exclusion more likely. There's hope that modes like One in the Chamber and Gun Game might still be included, minus the gambling, as regulations around in-game gambling have tightened since 2010. Activision has not yet confirmed an exact release date, but both Black Ops games are expected to launch on modern PlayStation consoles in July, featuring campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies modes.
