Forza Horizon 6 has introduced a new dedicated drifting mode called Drift Attack. This mode works similarly to the existing Time Attack mode and can be accessed directly from the open world without any additional loading screens or lobbies. Just like Time Attacks, you simply drive through the gantry to start Drift Attack.

The new mode takes place at the existing Shimanoyama Circuit. While driving the course, you earn points in the same way as in Horizon Drift and at Drift Zones – but Drift Attack adds a new scoring element with 'Clipping Zones' around the track. These zones will increase your score for drifts performed within their marked boundaries.

Drift Attack includes the same in-world leaderboard functionality as Time Attacks and has been integrated into the Horizon Festival campaign (unlocked by earning the yellow wristband). Completing Drift Attack Collection Journal tasks will reward you with the Drift Attack racesuit and helmet, plus a brand-new Forza Edition car: the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition. Additionally, a stock XJ-S has been added to the Autoshow for all players to purchase at any time.

The addition of Drift Attack coincides with the arrival of the Horizon Playlist Series 5, 'British Automotive', which runs from September 10 to October 8. The 10 series reward cars (three of which are new to Horizon) are listed below:

Playground Games also confirmed that the next series will be called 'Horizon Meets', which will feature a temporary 7-Eleven Konbini evolving world feature, plus more Eventlab content and new-to-Horizon cars.
